Consul General hosts an event for Kenta Maeda of Detroit Tigers

On Sunday, June 9, Consul General Yusuke Shindo hosted an event featuring Detroit Tigers pitcher, Mr. Kenta Maeda, at his official residence in Bloomfield Hills. Dozens of guests gathered in honor of Mr. Maeda, who signed a two-year contract with the Tigers earlier this year.  He has previously played for the Hiroshima Toyo Carp, the Los Angeles Dodgers, and the Minnesota Twins.  Some guests even got to pose for a photo with Mr. Maeda, and obtain his autograph.  We appreciate everyone who took the time to join Consul General in celebrating this special “sports ambassador” who links Japan and the U.S.!
