MEXT Scholarships
Applications for the 2015 Japanese Studies Monbukagakusho Scholarships are now available!

The Japanese Studies Scholarship offers enrolled university students the opportunity to study in Japan for a period of one year (generally October to October), and can be used as a study abroad program. The scholarship reward includes round-trip airfare, university tuition and fees, and a stipend for monthly living expenses.
Completed applications must be received at the Consulate General of Japan in Detroit by Friday, March 6, 2015. Applicants must be available for interview and testing on Wednesday, March 18.

Attention: There is no application fee for the MEXT Scholarships. Please be aware that organizations or individuals who charge application fee or deposit have no relation with the Japanese Government. All application procedures for the MEXT Scholarships are conducted through Japanese Embassies, Consulates in your countries, or institution of higher education in Japan.
