Emerson School - Ann Arbor, Michigan
		Students of the Emerson School in Ann Arbor, Michigan crafted beautiful cards with messages of encouragement and expressions of sorrow for the people of Japan.
Livingston Elementary, Dominican Learning Center and Nationwide Children's Hospital - Columbus, Ohio
		On a recent trip to Columbus, Consul General was presented with many cards and letters created by students of the Livingston Elementary School and Dominican Learning Center, and young patients in Nationwide Children's Hospital.
Grosse Ile High - Grosse Ile, Michigan
		Students of Grosse Ile High School presented Consul General Matsuda with a fifteen-foot banner and condolence book containing messages of support from the school.
Southern Great Lakes Symphony - Flat Rock, Michigan
	The entire community was invited to participate in a one-thousand crane project by the Southern Great Lakes Symphony. Together with the Downriver Community Voices, the symphony held a performance dedicated to the victims of Japan's earthquake and tsunami. Citizens dropped off their cranes, which were then strung together by volunteers and presented to Consul General Matsuda at the dedication performance.
Country Oaks Elementary - Commerce Township, Michigan
		Students of the Country Oaks Elementary School sent a boxful of beautifully created cards of condolence and support.
Girl Scout Troop 2366 - Grosse Pointe, Michigan
		Our office received a huge envelope of beautiul cards and sentiments from the Girl Scouts of Troop 2366 in Grosse Pointe.

UM Volunteers, ESL professor, Clague Junior High students - Ann Arbor, Michigan
		Cards and posters were received from Clague Junior High School students, vokunteers from University of Michigan and the ESL professor.
Dearborn Academy - Dearborn, Michigan
		We received these cards of encouragement and banner from the students of Dearborn Academy.
Hilliard Station Sicth Grade School - Columbus, Ohio
		Condolence and encouragement letters were sent to us from the students and staff of Hilliard Station Sixth Grade School in Columbus.
West Bloomfield High School - West Bloomfield Michigan
		In Japanese calligraphy, students at West Bloomfield High School made messages of "kibou" (hope) and folded thousands of paper cranes to express their wished for Japan's recovery.
Huron Academy - Sterling Heights, Michigan
		Students of the Huron Academy H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People Everywhere) Team held a fundraiser for Japan and created a banner with encouraging messages from their community.
Ridgeway Elementary School - Hamilton, Ohio
		While hosting Grandparents' Day at the school, the Ridgeway fitth graders, together with their grandparents folded paper cranes as an expression of hope and support for Japan.
Logan School - Ann Arbor, Michigan
		Ann Arbor's Logan School students created beautiful pictures to send to Japan's disaster vicitms.
Japanese School - Toledo, Ohio
		Japanese students of the Saturday School in Toldeo folded paper cranes and other origami crafts to cheer and offer support to the children in Tohoku.
Larson Middle High School - Troy, Michigan
		"Play for Japan, Pray for Japan" was the theme of a benefit concert organized by the Advanced Band and Orchestra of Larson Middle School. Guests and members wrote hopeful messages on a huge banner, and t-shirts were sold to help raise funds.
Baldwin Public Library - Birmingham, Michigan
		400 beautiful paper cranes and letters from children were sent to our office.
Marysville Creekview Intermediate School - Marysville, Ohio
		Senbazuru, or 1000 paper cranes, were folded by 442 students of Marysville Creekview Intermediate to offer warm wishes and support for those affected by the earthquake in Tohoku.
