Summer 2010 Fim Series by Center for Japanese Studies at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor - "The Real and Surreal in Japanese Contemporary Film." July 16 through August 13. See website for dates, time and location.
Japanese art and culture will be highlighted this spring at the UMMA (University of Michigan Museum of Art) in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Two exhibits, Wrapped in Silk and Gold: A Family Legacy of 20th Century Japanese Kimono and Turning Point: Japanese Studio Ceramics in the Mid-20th Century, and several related programs, such as kimono fashion show, pottery demonstration and tea ceremonies are slated.
